about

Mary Mauldin is a licensed landscape architect and planting designer based in Sun Valley, Idaho, with a deep appreciation for the natural world and the way it shapes our sense of wellbeing. With a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and over ten years of experience in the field, Mary specializes in high-end perennial gardens and custom seasonal containers that are as timeless and elegant as they are expressive and vibrant.

At the heart of her business are three core values: curiosity, connection, and thoughtfulness. These guide everything from the initial design concept to the final planting. Mary approaches each project with an open mind, a desire to connect people to nature and to each other, and an eye for detail that ensures every garden feels personal and intentional.

Her perennial designs focus on structure, seasonality, and longevity—creating layered landscapes that evolve gracefully over time. Her container arrangements bring bold seasonal energy to patios, porches, and entryways, offering color, texture, and personality in every composition. Whether understated and classic or full of bold, showy blooms, Mary’s work is always grounded in balance, beauty, and a sense of place.

Outside of her design work, Mary finds inspiration in the landscapes around her—whether it’s skiing, hiking, fly fishing, or traveling. A certified Pilates instructor and avid tennis player, she’s passionate about wellness and the restorative power of movement and nature. Mary believes in creating spaces that restore, delight, and invite people to slow down. The photography featured throughout the site is her own, capturing the light, color, and energy that fuel her creativity.

Buffalo Bill, the team’s most dedicated assistant. When he’s not hiking the trails or lounging in the sun, he can be found inspecting plants before they go out, ensuring everything meets his high standards. With a keen eye for detail and an unmatchable enthusiasm for the outdoors, Buffy brings a playful energy to every project, reminding us all to appreciate the little moments of joy in nature.
